Taking Obedience Class is the do-it-yourself affordable training program, but it requires that you put in the repetition to train your dog. This is a one-on-one set of private lessons with the trainer; the trainer coaches you and your dog through any number of different levels of training. Basic obedience is were we start with each dog; many also go through an advanced off leash training class. The trainer will assign the owner a new task to master for the next week of class. Success is dependent on the owner's diligence each week. Classes are made up of 5 Private Lessons.
If you don't have time for a class or time to train your own dog, than this is the best match for your dog. Dogs with serious behavior problems will be best suited for this as well. This program allows owner to enjoy the results of a well trained dog without having to put in the hundreds of hrs it takes to train a dog. They simply enforce the new learned skills when the dog comes home, than they get to brag about their well-mannered furry friend to their disbelieving neighbors. The dog will spend two weeks in home with the trainer and be taught all the basic obedience, house manners, as well as working on specific behavioral issues the dog may have. Hands down, this is the most efficient way to train your dog. The trainer can be 100% consistant with the dog and really accelerate their learning through the repetition with the dog each day. Your dog will remember you when they are picked up, but they will not have missed you - they will be engaged and busy with their new learned routine that will they rest peacefully each night. This program is much like sending your child to camp. It is every bit rewarding for you as it is for your dog.
Through puppy raising, owners will obtain a puppy that has been crate trained, has obedience training and has been socialized with dogs and people. Puppies are learning habits for doghood from the monent they are born. The habits we teach our puppies from 6-16 weeks are the most crucial to their development. Your puppy can spend these crucial weeks with a trainer who has a clear vision of the dog you desire later in life. If you don't know how to raise a puppy, you don't have time to raise a puppy, or you just want the best dog you can have, than this is the best program for your puppy.
Lessons are about an hour long. We use these as a chance to coach the owners with their dogs for any number of different reasons. These are recommended for addressing issues that only occur in your home. After the Stay and Train program, owners receive a two private lessons in order to teach them how to follow through with the training and maintain it most effectively.
